Departure from USA: Daily

DAY 1: Arrival in San Salvador / Suchitoto
Upon arrival in San Salvador, guests are met & transferred to Suchitoto or “Ciudad Vieja” (old city) – peaceful old town with stoned streets, big houses with antique balconies. But before we get there we will pass by Ilobasco to see the miniature artisans and how skilled they are to make their work in clay and to Cinquera for a walk in the forest to the river pond.
Overnight accommodations

DAY 2: Suchitoto
Breakfast. This morning we have an Indingo Workshop. Here we will learn how to work this
blue tint until we dye a souvenir to take back home. Then we can spend the day being part of this little town, visiting the old church, the art galleries or theart craft places. We can go for boat ride at the lake; we can visit the cigar artisans and have a tranquil cup of coffee at the park coffee shops.

DAY 3: La Palma and its Surroundings
Breakfast. After breakfast we will travel to Chalatenango visiting La Palma, Citalá and San
Ignacio. We will have a workshop to paint our own souvenir and we will go for a city tour in La Palma to get to know why it is called “The Peace Cradle”. En route we will visit the Cihuatan archaeological site. This is not a Mayan ruin, Mayans where already conquered by Nahuatl speaking people from Mexico, when the Spaniards came.

DAY 4: Mayan Sites
After breakfast depart to the jewel of the Mayan World: Joya de Ceren, Heritage for Humanity. Here we find a town that was kept unchanged as it used to be more than 1400 years ago, by the ashes of a volcanic eruption. Then we will go to San Andrés archaeological site which was the worship place of the settlers of Joya de Cerén. Our lunch today will be at Coatepeque Lake. After lunch we will come back and stay in San Salvador.

DAY 5: San Salvador
After breakfast departure to San Salvador city tour where we will go to the art
craft market place, the anthropological museum and interesting places such as
El Boquerón which is the largest crater of Quezaltepeque volcano. At night we
will have our farewell dinner at Los Cebollines Restaurant or similar at the Galerias Escalón.
Overnight accommodations (B/D)

DAY 6: Depart San Salvador
Breakfast. This morning our driver will transfer guests to the airport in plenty of time to catch
their flight.(B)
