Then select one of these three tours depending on the time of the year:
participants must know how to swim.

1. Shipwreck “Sheriff Gone” Snorkeling
Get on board from los Cóbanos in small boats that will transport you to a beautiful, deserted, beach called Los Almendros (the almonds). You will be able to go snorkeling and enjoy this ecotourism paradise, viewing different types of marine life that make this reef their
home. Then you will head off in search of the “Sheriff Gone”, a 115 year old
shipwreck. While snorkeling the shipwreck you’ll see large schools of fish. Returning, you’ll see the impressing and beautiful hard corals.
2. Hard Coral Snorkeling
This aquatic adventure takes place off the coast of two gorgeous, beaches inside of Los Cóbanos protected area. First you´ll take a stroll along “El Amor” or Love Beach to a point near the reef where you will start your snorkeling adventure as you float gently in the warm waters of the Pacific and admire its rich marine life.
Both tours described above can be done all year around, but when it rains water
gets blurry. (Rainy season is from May to October. August, Sept. and October
are the rainiest months)
3. Los Cóbanos Marine Life Boat Tour.
This boat trip will take you 10 nautical miles from the volcanic shores of Los Cóbanos in search of the marine life. The objective is to observe dolphins, sea turtles and other marine species. With a little bit of luck and good timing, you’ll get a rare glimpse of the humpback whales in migration during the months of November through January. Turtles can be seen during their mating time from March to November and from September on you can even have the experience of freeing young turtles.

Breakfast. Depart to explore a working coffee mill and learn about the process of how a coffee bean becomes an excellent cup of coffee. After lunch, you will visit the rest of the Flower Trail ending at Nahuizalco, home to one of the most
longstanding native communities and arts and crafts production sites in the country. Here the local people take great pride in building excellent quality furniture in a large variety of designs, using “caña de la india” (Indian shot), cedar and bay wood. Try and make your own art craft and the settlers will tell you many stories while working. You will be able to stay for the only night market which it is a real TIANGUIS where many people come down from the mountains
to bring their crops and sell them or exchange them for products they need.
