ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE LIMA
Arrival in Lima, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Lima.
* Please take note that check-in at hotels in Lima is at 15.00hrs, therefore in case of early arrivals, passengers should wait at the lobby until check-in time, otherwise book the room a day earlier.
DAY 2: LIMA | INC: B/L/
Today we will focus on the exquisite fusion between Peruvian ingredients and diverse world renowned techniques. In the morning, we will begin our tour in Lima, visiting a typical Peruvian market. We will be witnesses of the variety, freshness and colors of the different products that our country has to offer. We will continue our tour visiting a restaurant, where we will learn how to prepare a delicious Peruvian Ceviche and Pisco Sour, national drink. Finally, we will delight our palates with a traditional lunch in a local restaurant.
Later, we will go to a coffee Lab for a Peruvian coffee experience.
Harry Neira, a “guardian of the Peruvian coffee” will welcome us to his lab and will show us how the Peruvian coffee is produce. We will learn how to brew coffee in a Chemex and will taste different coffees from the 3 regions in Peru. We will also have the chance to prepare our own cacaoccino with latte art.

DAY 3: LIMA | INC: B/L/-
In the morning, we will drive along the main streets, squares, and avenues of the city. We will start with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center the ancient Lima culture; and in San Isidro, the financial center of the city, we will see Huaca Huallamarca, an ancient pre-Inca shrine. We will then continue to the Main Square, where we will find the Government Palace and the City Hall. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porres and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in the 17th century, and where their remains rest today. Finally, the Larco Museum will be awaiting us. This is a mansion built on top of a pre-Columbian pyramid of the 7th century. There we will find treasures that have been exhibited in the most prestigious museums of the world and it is organized according to techniques. The storeroom and the unique display of erotic pottery of pre-Columbian times are the highlights. We will enjoy lunch at Café del Museo restaurant located inside the Larco museum.
In the afternoon, we will give a walk by Barranco, bohemian district of our capital and cradle of artists. There we visit several shops and a private collection of fine crafts brought from all corners of Peru. To close, we will visit a local restaurant where we will have the opportunity to try picarones, the famous traditional Peruvian dessert prepared with pumpkin and sweet potato

DAY 4: LIMA/CUSCO/SACRED VALLEY | INC: B/L/-
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to hotel.
* We suggest booking a flight arriving in Cusco, no later than 10.00hrs.
From the Cusco airport, we will go to visit the local community of Misminay, located in the outskirts of Cusco, where you will be able to see some traditions preserve by locals. The tour to the village goes through native botanical species crop fields, using a narrow and winding path that will take us to the village. Families live along in small single or double room houses, made out of adobe. They raise guinea pigs (cuyes), cattle and sheep. You will be able to plow or harvest the soil, depending on the time of the year, appreciate a toast to honor the earth—ceremony in honor of Mother Earth— and enjoy a traditional lunch cooked by the ladies of Misminay, with naturally cultivated ingredients from their camps. Additionally, you will observe the ladies spinning, wool dyeing with natural ingredients. We will continue our journey to Maras, the famous and ancient salt mines of the colonial era. The contrast of its wells white with the green valley is impressive and not to be missed for a postcard spectacular of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY | INC: B/L/D.
One of the reasons for the growing success of Peruvian food worldwide is access to the fresh ingredients it’s based on. In the morning, we will enjoy an experience that creates the optimum conditions for you to see, smell, touch and taste ingredients from the root, cultivated using no pesticides or additives. Harvest, prepare and cook with the close guidance of our chef, enjoy the freshest, most delicious meal right next to the river, in front of an organic farm, with a fantastic view of snowy peaks.
After some rest, enjoy a ride to Ollantaytambo where you will enjoy some time at leisure for own exploration before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes town. Dinner included at the hotel.

DAY 6: MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO| INC: B/L/-
Early in the morning, our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the town to board our train back to Cusco.

DAY 7: CUSCO | INC: B/L/D
Start the day off at Cusco’s vibrant San Pedro market, one of the most fascinating places to people watch as Quechua villagers come from the surrounding areas to sell their produce. Here we will select our ingredents that will be used to prepare our lunch.
Later, we will head to the cooking place where our chef will teach us how to prepare our own Cusquenian traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, we will climb up the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman, and start our excursion visiting the fortress with the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and quiet, where we will be able to admire the huge rocks measuring up to 4 meters high that were used in its construction. We will then head for Q’enqo, and ancient temple of the Puma, where we will be able to appreciate an altar for sacrifices in the inner part of a huge rock, and then Tambomachay, sacred fountains of life and health. On the way we will have a panoramic view from Puca Pucara, a watchtower that controlled the entrance to the city. After that we will visit the Temple of the Sun “The Korikancha”, on top of which the Saint Dominique Convent was built. A legend tells that his temple was entirely lined in gold sheets that marveled the Conquistadors upon their arrival. Finally, we will go to the Main Square and will visit the Cathedral that reassures invaluable colonial paintings and other works of art such as the Cross that arrived with the first conquerors.
In the evening, we will go to a local restaurant to enjoy a farewell dinner at Tunupa restaurant where we will also enjoy a live show and an ancestral dance performance.
