TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION

Air transportation is in economy class on IATA carrier, based on lowest promotional airfares and subject to terms and conditions set up by the airlines. Air fares quoted are those in effect at time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Airfares can be protected from increase only by payment in full and the issuance of the tickets. Changes in flight itineraries by the passenger after the issuance of the tickets may result in an increase in air fare. When the airline has sold out its promotional airspace quoted in the tour package, a different booking code with a higher rate will be used at additional cost. Airlines reserve the right to change schedules without notice.


LAND ARRANGEMENTS

G T Tours and its agents act only as agents for passengers in all matters pertaining to air, land transportation, tours, accommodations or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence of, or default of, any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by act of God. All land services, tours and hotel accommodations provided to the client will be cleared stated in the tour voucher. If one of the participating hotels or room category cannot be confirmed a hotel and room of comparable category will be found.


RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS

A deposit of $500 per person is required to reconfirm reservations plus an additional deposit or full payment that some air, hotels and cruise companies may require. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure. All bookings are subject to availability at time of reservation.


CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

G T Tours accepts all major credit cards for deposits or final payments. If payment by credit card, a G T Tours Credit Card Charge Authorization Form must be completed and signed by credit card holder with a copy of the credit card, driver's license and passport. No signature on file charges are accepted.


CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Full refund is made if cancellation is received in writing 90 days prior to departure, less $200 per person administrative handling fee. Between 89 and 60 days prior to departure a handling fee of $400 per person will apply plus any non-refundable fees. Between 59 and 30 days prior to departure a handling fee of $600 per person will apply plus non-refundable fees. Between 29 days and departure day NO REFUND.

DAY 2: Quito / Galapagos Islands

Breakfast. Transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Baltra airport in Galapagos via LAN Ecuador. In Galapagos assistance and transfer in from Baltra airport to hotel.

Visit to the Highlands: There will be a guided visit to two large craters nearby, called Twins, where you can see the Scalesia forest, a unique type of vegetation in the highlands of the island and a large variety of birds. After visiting a private estate where guest will enjoy a short hike to find Giant Tortoises going in search of water and succulent plants. Guests can enjoy and watch these placid animals, moving in their natural habitat. Abundant vegetation of the area is also home to several species of endemic birds. Also guest can have a mysterious and interesting walk through lava tunnels in the area. Check into hotel.

Visit to Charles Darwin Research Station: Located in Puerto Ayora to 15 minutes walking distance from our hotel, where you can witness various stages of our islands growth from sea and get to know the interpretation center where you will find natural history of the islands. There will be a tour of the tortoise breeding center where these animals are prepared for reintroduction into the wild. Guests will have the opportunity to learn the history of “Lonesome George”, one of the most famous residents of the islands.

DAY 3: Galapagos Islands

Buffet Breakfast.
Tour of Bay: This is a boat tour across the Academy Bay. Visit the Lobería, a tiny island where you can swim and snorkel with sea lions (unique experience). Also visit places like Love Canal, The Channel Shark, fresh water cracks and Playa de Los Perros. Enjoy the chance to see sharks, sea lions, blue footed boobies, iguanas and rays and other species. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours.

DAY 4: Galapagos Islands

Buffet Breakfast. Playa Tortuga Bay (selfguided): A car will take passengers from the hotel to the entrance leading to the beautiful Tortuga Bay beach. Visitors must register their entry at the National Park checkpoint and then there is a 30 minute walk through a fragrant palo santo forest with cactus, rock formations and a variety of Darwin finches and endemic mockingbirds guests will arrive to the spectacular Tortuga Bay beach. Initially guests will see a unique landscape white sand beach called Playa Brava. This beach is perfect for surfing and is ideal to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Walking a little more, guests can find a quiet little beach which is great for swimming and snorkeling (Playa Mansa). On this outing guests will see pelicans, large marine iguanas, herons, frigate birds, blue footed boobies.

DAY 5: Depart Galapagos Islands

Buffet Breakfast. The hotel staff will assist you with your transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight back to Guayaquil via LAN Ecuador. Upon arrival in Guayaquil transfer from domestic terminal to the international for your flight back to Miami the same evening. (BB)

DAY 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel and in registering.
Lima, the “City of Kings” is famous for its Spanish Colonial architecture, extraordinary museums and cuisine.

DAY 2 Tour of Colonial and Modern Lima

Breakfast. Visit both the colonial and modern sections of this “City of Kings”. Colonial sites include the lovely Plaza de Armas with its cathedral and palace; and the exquisite Torre Tagle Palace, modern day seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In modern Lima drive through the exclusive residential areas of Miraflores and San Isidro.

Dinner and Folkloric Show at Junius
For Dinner come on join us at the Junius Restaurant who takes you to a journey where you explore the wonders of the fascinating Peruvian culture through its folklore, presenting an incredible and colorful show of music and dances from different regions of Peru. The delicious buffet is full of flavors from different regions and the best of the Peruvian cuisine.

DAY 3: Lima – Cusco

Breakfast. Early morning transfer from the hotel to the airport for a short but spectacular flight over the snowcapped Andes to the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, Cusco, at an elevation of 11,440 feet. Upon arrival a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel and in registering.

Afternoon Cusco City Tour and Nearby Ruins 
Tour of Cusco and Nearby Ruins – Visitors are caught up in the excitement of touring the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, a delightful combination of Inca and colonial architecture. The tour visits important landmarks such us Cusco’s Cathedral, Plaza de Armas and Koricancha “The Temple of the Sun”. This tour of the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western hemisphere also includes the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puca-Pucara, Tambomachay as well as the Sacsayhuaman fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture.

DAY 4: Cusco – Machu Picchu

Breakfast. Morning train ride through the sacred valley of Urubamba to the “Lost City of the Incas,” Machu Picchu. Perched 8,200 feet above the valley, it was hidden by mountains and semi-tropical jungles for 400 years until discovered by Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911. Archaeologists believe that the Inca “Virgins of the Sun” took refuge from the Spanish Conquistadors here. Guided tour of the ruins upon arrival. Lunch is at the Orient Express’ Sanctuary Lodge located just a few steps from the Inca citadel.

DAY 1 : Saturday – Depart Miami / Lima / Easter Island

Start your Easter Island adventure on LAN flight non-stop to Lima with immediate connection to Easter Island (a shorter flight than via Santiago). Upon arrival there our representative will assist you and provide you with your transfer to your hotel for an early check in. Breakfast at the hotel.

DAY 2: Sunday – Easter Island

Full day Anakena and the Lost Culture of Rapa Nui
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the southcoast and visit representative examples of not restored platforms, Ahus Vaihu in the bay of Hanga Te’e, and Akahanga, where supposedly the famous king Hotu Matua is buried. Proceed to Rano Raraku, one of the most important sites visited. This is the quarry of almost 900 stone statues, 397 of them still lying or standing at the slopes of the extinct volcano with crater lake. Then visit Ahu Tongariki most recent and biggest restauration on the island, with 15 re-erected statues standing on an almost 200 m long platform. Drive to the eastcoast and visit not restored Ahu Te Pito Kura and the “Navel of the World”. Last but not least visit the beautiful beach of Anakena with its restored Ahus Nau Nau and Ature Huke. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warm Pacific Ocean. An interesting day is coming to an end and we bring you back to your hotel. Picnic lunch and entrance included.

DAY 3: Monday – Easter Island (Two tour options to select from)

Option “1” – Half Day – Orongo Ceremonial Village
Breakfast at hotel. Drive up the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciate on the way a view over the whole island and the village of Hanga Roa, and see its distinct geological features. Then proceed to an outlook with a breathtaking view at the crater lake.
Afterwards drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place and you can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture, see the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Motu Kao Kao opposite the coast. Drive down again to Ahu Vinapu (not restored) and for some still proof of the influence of pre-inca arquitects in Easter Island culture. Last stop is Ana Kai Tangata cave with wall paintings. Back to hotel.

Option “2” – Half Day Horseback ride to Akivi 
Breakfast. An experienced English speaking guide will pick you up at the hotel and you will start riding along the north/west coast of the island passing the ceremonial village of Tahai. Along the way we visit attractive caves and then arrive at Ahu Akivi. We spend some time there to take a rest and then ride back to the hotel.

DAY 4: Tuesday – Easter Island

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to restored Ahu Akivi with 7 Moais, built in the middle of the island. The legend tells us that these statues are representing the 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by the king Hotu Matua. Proceed to the unrestored Ahu Hanga Poukura. Then visit the topknot-quarry Puna Pau with its red scoria stone, where all the Pukaos were made. We will also visit the ceremonial site of Tahai with 3 Ahus and restored statues, remains of boathouses, a boatramp and other features. Here we see the only statue with eyes. Back to hotel.
