TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION

Air transportation is in economy class on IATA carrier, based on lowest promotional airfares and subject to terms and conditions set up by the airlines. Air fares quoted are those in effect at time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Airfares can be protected from increase only by payment in full and the issuance of the tickets. Changes in flight itineraries by the passenger after the issuance of the tickets may result in an increase in air fare. When the airline has sold out its promotional airspace quoted in the tour package, a different booking code with a higher rate will be used at additional cost. Airlines reserve the right to change schedules without notice.


LAND ARRANGEMENTS

G T Tours and its agents act only as agents for passengers in all matters pertaining to air, land transportation, tours, accommodations or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence of, or default of, any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by act of God. All land services, tours and hotel accommodations provided to the client will be cleared stated in the tour voucher. If one of the participating hotels or room category cannot be confirmed a hotel and room of comparable category will be found.


RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS

A deposit of $500 per person is required to reconfirm reservations plus an additional deposit or full payment that some air, hotels and cruise companies may require. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure. All bookings are subject to availability at time of reservation.


CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

G T Tours accepts all major credit cards for deposits or final payments. If payment by credit card, a G T Tours Credit Card Charge Authorization Form must be completed and signed by credit card holder with a copy of the credit card, driver's license and passport. No signature on file charges are accepted.


CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Full refund is made if cancellation is received in writing 90 days prior to departure, less $200 per person administrative handling fee. Between 89 and 60 days prior to departure a handling fee of $400 per person will apply plus any non-refundable fees. Between 59 and 30 days prior to departure a handling fee of $600 per person will apply plus non-refundable fees. Between 29 days and departure day NO REFUND.

DAY 3: Quito / La Selva Eco Lodge

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from your hotel to the airport for local flight to Coca. Transfer by private transportation (10 minute) to the dock of the Hotel La Mision on the shore of the Napo River. An amazing fluvial journey of two and a half hours in a motorized canoe with the assistance of a high quality English speaking naturalist guide will be the beginning of a great experience in the tropical rainforest followed by a short jungle walk to and a paddle canoe ride across “Garzacocha. Once at the lodge, you are welcomed and receive a short briefing with information about the lodge and your schedule of activities .

In the afternoon enjoy exploring a trail of many remarkable trees that you will find during this short introductory walk.

DAY 4: La Selva Eco Lodge

Wake up call followed by breakfast. A trail will take us to the Observations tower, a platform located at 135 feet on the top of a kapok tree. Later visit the Tucaneta trail. After lunch, canoe ride around Garzacocha Lake, waiting for the chance to spot: herons, flycatchers, birds of prey, the famous Hoatzin, troops of squirrel monkeys, red howler monkeys perched on the top of the highest trees, among other interesting fauna you might see during your lake trip.

After dinner join us in a night canoe ride. With the help of a spotlight, your guides will take you in a paddle canoe around the lagoon looking for caimans, boas, bats, owls, night mammals and more nocturnal wild life. If the sky is clear, we might have the chance to do some star gazing.

DAY 5: La Selva Eco Lodge

Wakwe up call followed by breakfast. Visit the most biologically diverse spot on Earth, the Yasuni National Park. Hundreds of parrots and parakeets will approach the treetops and later come down to a clay bank to eat the soil rich in minerals. After lunch we will visit the butterfly farm. Dinner followed by departure briefing. Your naturalist guide will provide all the necessary information for you departure to Coca and flight back to Quito.

El Barranco (Prince Philip’s Steps) is a staircase carved out of stone. This will lead you to a wide plateau, where you can observe large colonies of masked boobies, frigate birds, storm petrels and bahama ducks. Darwin Bay is the only sandy beach found in the crater of Genovesa Island. Colonies of great frigates are found along the beach. Red-footed boobies nest in the trees in contrast to the other two booby species which nest in the ground.

Day 4: Wednesday – Bartolomé / Santiago Island: Sullivan Bay (B/L/D)

At Bartolomé Island you will ascend to admire the spectacular panorama of Sullivan Bay and the famous Pinnacle Rock. In the afternoon, you will visit Sullivan Bay on the east coast of Santiago Island.

Day 5: Thursday – Santa Cruz Island / Highlands / The Charles Darwin Research Station & Tortuga Bay (B/L/D)

The Highlands of Santa Cruz have incredible zones of vegetation. There you will visit the private farm “Las Primicias”. This reserve offers you one of the best possibilities to see the giant turtles of Santa Cruz Island in their natural habitat. Charles Darwin Research Station features an information center, a museum, a library and a tortoise breeding station. Tortuga Bay is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Galapagos. Last night at the charming Hotel Fernandina in Puerto Ayora. .

Day 6: Friday – Santa Cruz Island / Twins / Baltra Airport (B)

On our last day, we will visit “Los Gemelos” (The Twins), After this visit you will be transferred to the Baltra airport for your flight to Guayaquil and connecting flight to Lima. Upon arrival there, transfer to hotel for overnight.

Tour of modern and colonial Lima (B/D)
Visit the most important areas and places of modern and colonial Lima as well as the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture.

Day 8: Sunday – Lima / Cusco (B)

Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival, meet and greet, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will start our Cusco city tour visiting the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological, Q’enqo, the Puma shrine, Puca Pucará, the Korikancha temple, Inti God shrine, on which the Santo Domingo church was built and many other sites..

Day 9: Monday – Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco (B/L)

This morning, pick-up from your hotel to take you to the train station to board train to Machu Picchu. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up to Machu Picchu. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco by train and will be transferred to the hotel. Buffet lunch included.

Day 10: Depart Cusco (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning transfer from hotel to airport for your flight to Lima and the USA or to your next destination.
