Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: Lima
Arrival in Lima, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: Lima
City tour of modern & colonial Lima & evening tour of Larco Museum with dinner
In the morning we will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture. Later we will go to San Isidro, financial center of the city. After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.
Tonight, let’s enjoy a unique evening visit in the most prestigious museum in the city. We will climb the lit pre-Columbian pyramid where the Larco Museum is built and discover the treasures of ancient Peru while we walk along its halls and galleries. At the end, we will be able to enjoy an exquisite dinner in a magical and cozy atmosphere with a view to the beautiful gardens. Return to your hotel at the end of the tour.

DAY 3: Lima / Cusco
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival, meet and greet, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon our exclusive city tour starts with a visit to the San Cristobal Plaza to enjoy its panoramic view of the city. Then, we will visit the San Pedro Market to soak in its local flavors and to learn about more of the products grown in the area which supply the whole city. After this, the Korikancha temple will welcome us in all his magnificence; this temple, whose Quechua name means “Gold Enclosure” still bedazzles us with the thought of its gold covered walls. Then it is the turn to visit the Santo Domingo Church. We will walk from San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, to the Hatun Rumiyoc street, stopping at the Inca Roca Palace, nowadays home to the Archbishop’s Palace and also at the famous Twelve Angle Stone. We will continue our walk to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral and its valuable and beautiful colonial masterpieces.

DAY 4: Cusco / Sacred Valley / Cusco
This day we will visit the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will leave for the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley. This town is also famous for its women weavers, we will make a brief stop in a textile center to appreciate its beautiful fabrics and where they will teach us the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning with Alpaca wool. In the town of Chinchero we will visit its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church enjoying the impressive natural images that surround the town. We will continue to Moray, beautiful and curious Inca archaeological complex composed of colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater. In Incas times, it served as an agricultural laboratory where diverse microclimates were recreated. Lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. Finally, we end our tour visiting the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo important for the Incas as a military, religious and agricultural center. We will visit the Temple of the ten windows, the bathrooms of the ñusta, the Temple of the Sun among other places of interest. The postcards from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Return to Cusco at the end of the tour.

DAY 5: Cusco
Full Day Seven Colors Mountain – Vinicunca
Very early in the morning, we will start our journey across “Valle Sur” toward Quechuyno, which is the starting point of our hike to the Cerro Colorado or 7-color Mountain, located about 100 km. southeast of Cusco city. Boxed breakfast included. After arriving Quechuyno, we will start our hike to reach the control center and enter this mystical place. During our walk we will observe how colors around us change due to the weather. We will reach an altitude of 5000 meters, approximately, which is the top of this mysterious mountain. Geological formations will reveal all its splendor; the contrast of the blue sky creates a formidable line between the coast desert and the Amazon jungle, guided by the beautiful Ausangate. We will return to Cusco along the same road. Boxed lunch included.

DAY 6: Cusco
Full day Humantay Lagoon
Very early in the morning, we will start our road trip to the Mollepata town, our first stop. We will continue to Soraypampa, starting point of our trek. Along the way, we will appreciate different ecological floors, beautiful landscapes and the imposing snow-capped Humantay and Salkantay mountains. After an hour and a half of hiking, we will arrive at the impressive Humantay lagoon? located at 4200 M.A.S.L Its’ turquoise and crystalline colors contrast with the majestic snow-capped mountains of the area. We will return along the same road for lunch and at the coordinated time we will return to Cusco for overnight stay.

DAY 7: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco
According to the season, we will go to the Poroy train station or Ollantaytambo train station, where we will depart by train to visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco and will be transferred to the hotel.

DAY 8: Depart Cusco
At the arranged time transfer from hotel to airport for your flight to Lima or your next destination.

Important Notes:
Saturday PM and Sunday AM Lima’s Cathedral is closed We will visit instead Huaca Huallamarca Pre Inca-Pyramid.
Hike to 7 Colors Mountain – Vinicunca is an intense ascending walk of 8KM (5 miles approx.). Reach a height of 5,000 meters (16,404 feet).
Hike to Humantay Lagoon is a moderate ascending walk of 6KM (3.72 miles approx.). Reach a height of 4,200 meters (13,779 feet).
This tour is not recommended December through February (due to rains).
