ITINERARY

DAY 1: Welcome to Panama

Today at the appropriate time our representative will meet you at the Tocumen International Airport to assist and transfer you to your hotel in Panama City. You will also receive an information kit.

DAY 2: Historical City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from your hotel to visit Panama Viejo, the first city founded on the isthmus by the Spanish at the beginning of colonization. The remaining ruins are the vestiges of the city left by Pirate Henry Morgan, who sacked the town in 1671. You will have the opportunity shop for souvenirs near the ruins. Then, we head for the second colonial city of Panama, Casco Viejo, which was built in 1673. Here we will walk the French Plaza and surrounding area. The architecture here includes colonial styles of the French, Italian, American and Spanish. Finally, you will have time to shop for handcrafts. Overview of the Modern City and banking serctor and return to your hotel early afternoon.

DAY 3: Panama Canal Watershed Birding Tour in Pipeline Road

Early in the morning after breakfast depart to Pipeline Road located in the Soberania National Park. Pipeline Road is considered one of the best birding spots in America for birding with more than 400 species as Slaty-tailed Trogon, Cinnamon Woodpecker, and Chestnut Backed Antbirds, Black faced Antthrush, Fascinated Antshrikes, White Flanked and Checker Throated Antwrens, the Black Breasted & White Necked Puffbirds. A box lunch is included in the area.

Include: Private transportation, birding specialized guide, entrance fee to Soberania National Park, snacks, beverages and a donation to ANAM (National Park Service).

DAY 4: Partial Canal Transit

Breakfast. The Panama Canal tour starts with an early morning pick up at your hotel in Panama City for a short transfer to Flamenco Island, at the Causeway of Amador on the Pacific side of the canal. You will first sail under the bridge of the Americas, which raises over 100 meters above sea level and reunites the land divided during construction of the canal forming another link in the Pan-American Highway. Lunch is served buffet style. The Panama Canal is 80 kilometers long from deep waters in the Pacific Ocean to deep waters in the Caribbean Sea. It was cut through the lowest and one of the narrowest saddles of the long mountainous Isthmus that joins North and South America. The original elevation was 95 meters above sea level where it crosses the Continental Divide. After the tour you will be transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5: Free day for optional tours (not included):

Free day for your relaxation and exploration on your own. Optional activities can be arranged upon your request such as hiking, birding, kayaking tours, and visit to the Discovery Center in the Soberania Ntl Park, Embera Indigenous Encounter and Golf in the property

  • El Valle mountain hiking tour or Hiking the Soberania National Park
  • Boat tour Gatun Lake and wildlife observation or Kayaking tour
  • Kayaking the Gatun Lake
  • Canopy Adventure – Zip Line

DAY 6: Transfer to Panama City and Free Day in the City

Breakfast. Today, at the appropriate time, you will be transfer to Panama City. You will have a free day for relaxation and exploration of the nearby areas on your own. Optional activities / tours can be arranged upon request.

DAY 7: Departure Panama

Breakfast at the hotel. At the appropriate time, transfer to international airport for departure to your next destination or home. (B)
