ITINERARY
DAY 1: Arrival in San Jose
Meet and greet at the Juan Santamaría International Airport by our local English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel in San Jose.
Overnight accommodations at Hotel Presidente Standard Room
DAY 2: San José / Tortuguero
Early departure from San Jose across the spectacular Braulio Carrillo National Park towards Tortuguero. A stop is scheduled in a private restaurant, for a delicious typical breakfast. The bus ride continues through banana plantations (Mon-Fri) and rural areas to Caño Blanco pier. A two-hour boat ride through the canals will take you to your lodge… just in time for lunch. In the afternoon, a visit to the Tortugero town is scheduled. Before dinner, free time to enjoy the pool, or just relax in a hammock. Dinner will be served by 7:30 pm.

DAY 3: Tortuguero National Park
In the morning a hike in the lodge’s private trails is scheduled, with a naturalist guide. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Then a visit to the tropical forest including the butterfly farm, the frog farm the ranarium, the aquarium, the biodigestor and gardens. Lunch is included at the pool restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a canal boat tour through Tortuguero National Park. Free time before dinner to relax or enjoy the hotel facilities.

Important notes: The order of the activities may change according to weather conditions.
Optional night tour to observe the turtle nesting from July to September has to be arranged and paid at the lodge. Current price is US$30.00 per person.
DAY 4: Tortuguero / San José
The return is scheduled to be at about 09:00 am after breakfast. Board the small boat to get back to La Pavona or Caño Blanco in share basis, then a share land transfer to get to Guápiles where lunch awaits. After lunch the share land transportation takes you to your hotel in San Jose.

DAY 5: Depart San Jose
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for your next destination in Costa Rica or Private transfer to the international airport for your return flight home. (B)
