GALAPAGOS HABITAT – ISLAND HOPPING
SAN CRISTOBAL & SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS – SIX DAYS / FIVE NIGHTS

ITINERARY
DAY 1: TRANSFER IN + INTERPRETATION CENTER + FRIGATE HILL:
After arriving at San Cristóbal we will visit the Interpretation Center, where we will learn more about the origin of the archipelago, its fauna and flora, as well as the history and its first inhabitants. After that, we will hike for about 2 hours until Frigate Hill where we will enjoy the endemic vegetation and a beautiful view of the island and its surroundings. The main attraction here are the frigate birds. At the end of the day, we will visit Frigate Bay and do some snorkeling. Return to the hotel.

DAY 2: KICKER ROCK NAVEGABLE TOUR OR ISLAS LOBOS
KICKER ROCK
Breakfast. We will leave early in the morning to take the boat and visit the Kicker Rock, which is known as one of the best places to do snorkeling and diving in Galapagos, because you can see sharks, rays and different types of fishes. After the snorkeling we will visit one of the following beaches: Playa Ochoa, Playa Puerto Grande or Playa Mangelito. In the afternoon return to San Cristobal and hotel.

ISLAS LOBOS
Breakfast. We will leave early in the morning to take the boat and visit the Lobos Island where we can do snorkeling with sea lions and observation of different kinds of birds like the blue footed boobies, after that we will visit the amazing beach Playa Ochoa. Lunch onboard and in the afternoon we will have our own spare time In the afternoon return to San Cristobal and hotel.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ – TORTUGA BAY + BAY TOUR
We will head to the port to take a speed boat (2,5h) to Santa Cruz Island. Arriving at Puerto Ayora transfer to the hotel, then we will make the bay tour, also known in Spanish as “Tour de Bahía”, is a must in the Galápagos. This is tour combines snorkeling, hiking, learning about the islands and relaxing. During the tour you will visit fascinating spots like the “Lobería” and “Las Grietas” where you will snorkel, hike, and learn about the Island. In the afternoon to Tortuga Bay. Take a walk to Tortuga Bay, through a path that merges with a giant Opuntia and Candelabra cactus forest, home to numerous Darwin finches, mockingbirds, yellow warblers, lava lizards and many more of the Galapagos endemic and native species. As you enter the white sandy beach, you will have a chance to observe different marine species, like sting rays and baby reef sharks in the shallow waters of the mangrove ecosystems. After swimming on the beach, take a very short hike to the marine iguana nesting site. The walk back is through a prickly pear forest carpeted in crimson sesuvium with black lava outcroppings, this area is home to more marine iguana colonies. Short boat ride to Puerto Ayora Pier.

DAY 4: NAVIGABLE EXCURSION TO ANOTHER ISLAND
This day you will have the opportunity to do a navigable excursion to another Island, in order to discover the diversity of the Galapagos Islands. The tour consists a hike around the island and afterwards you can snorkel, swim or just relax. Based on availability we can confirm one of the following tours:
Bartolome Island: Discover amazing landscapes, and fascinating geological formations, here you will have great opportunity for snorkeling.
North Seymour Island: The main fauna species of this island are Land Iguanas, the Magnificent Frigate bird with their incredible scarlet regular pouch, blue-footed boobies and their particular courtship dance and sea lions surfing across the waves.
South Plazas: Small island but outstanding concentration of wildlife, dramatic cliffs, spectacular natural red carpet of algae and great contrasts to be seen.
Santa Fe: This Island has a lot of diversity. The lagoons of the Santa Fe Island provide an excellent place for snorkeling alongside colorful fishes, sea lions, giant tuna and even small sharks that are often sited in these environments.

DAY 5: SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS + CHARLES DARWIN STATION
After breakfast we will reach the highlands of the Islands with its green vegetation where we will stop to visit a Ranch, here we will be able to see Giant Turtles in their natural habitat, lunch at the ranch. We will head to the Charles Darwin Station. The center is a reservoir of information on habitats and local conservation, as well as other fascinating relevant statistics. The most striking attraction of this station is certainly the Tortoise Breeding Center, where it is possible to view tortoises of varied sizes and shapes. Travelers here can freely walk and get their photos clicked with the tortoises. Among other inhabitants at the center, you can see the land and marine iguanas and different species of birds. After this visit we will return to Puerto Ayora to your hotel.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE & TRANSFER OUT
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to take the flight back to the mainland.

All hotel pick-ups for any tour are made from 7:00 am, which may take up to 7:30 am because several customers are collected at various points on the island (It applies for the daily tours to one of the following islands: Bartolome / Santa Fe / North Seymour + Bachas / Plazas + Punta Carrion). • The return and departure schedules of the tours are approximate. There are no exact timetables because there may be climatic conditions that may vary.
