MOTOR SAIL YACHT MARY ANNE – FIRST CLASS

Launched in 1997, this elegant barquetine was designed specifically with environmentally friendly operations in mind and is certified by Smart Voyager. The Mary Anne is the perfect ship for those who love to travel under sail; she has 1000m2 of canvas with which she majestically takes to the waves.

DAY 1: Saturday – Arrival in Galapagos from Quito or Guayaquil

First encounters.. After arriving at Baltra airport we will be greeted by an Angermeyer Cruises representative to take us to the highlands of Santa Cruz, the Twin Craters, a great variety of birds. Lunch at a local ranch; hiking to a lagoon and viewing the giant Galapagos Tortoises in their natural habitat. (L/D)

DAY 2: Sunday – Galapagos Islands

Morning. We spend the day on Floreana Island. Exploring Punta Cormorant and swimming and snorkelling at Devil’s Crown. (B/L/D)

DAY 3: Monday – Galapagos Islands

In Puerto Ayora, in Santa Cruz Island, visit the breeding station, located at the Charles Darwin Research Station and Tortuga Bay. (B/L/D)

DAY 4: Tuesday – Galapagos Islands

Full day visit to Isabela Island – Visits to Punta Moreno and Elizabeth Bay. (B/L/D)

DAY 5: Wednesday – Galapagos Islands

Morning. We disembark at Urbina Bay and Fernandina Island, one of the world’s most unspoilt sites at Punta Espinosa. (B/L/D)

DAY 6: Thursday – Galapagos Islands

Visits to Tagus Cove and Punta Vicente Roca. (B/L/D)

DAY 7: Friday – Galapagos Islands

We head to central Santiago to disembark at Espumilla onto a golden-coloured sand Green Sea Turtle nesting site. Afternoon. Bucanero Cove. (B/L/D)

DAY 8: Saturday – Depart Galapagos Islands

North Seymour Island – The bird’s den
We disembark on North Seymour where we will walk right up to bird nesting colonies of the two species of Frigate birds, Blue-footed Boobies and Swallow-tailed Gulls, and experience, depending on season, spectacular displays. After this visit the ship will sail to Baltra where we will disembark and transfer to the airport for the flight back to Quito or Guayaquil (B)
