Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrival in Quito
Transfer airport to hotel – Private services
On arrival at Quito’s Mariscal Sucre Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our professional guides who will assist you with the private transfer to your hotel and help you accommodating and giving helpful information for your stay in this world heritage city.
Accommodation at hotel Casona de La Ronda or Casa Gardenia including breakfast.
DAY 2: Quito
City Tour & Cable car or Equator Line or Museum – Private services
This tour will depart early in the morning with a panoramic view of Alameda Park and a visit to the Basilica where you can have nice photos of the city, followed by a walk down the street of the Seven Crosses, then continue with a short visit of the Independence Square. From here, we can admire the presidential palace and the main cathedral. After this, we will visit the amazing La Compañía Church and its gold-plated interior, San Francisco Church and its surrounding area that are the reasons why in 1978 Quito was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Around midday, the tour will continue to the cable car or teleferico to admire the city and enjoy a good time at the Pichincha mountain, Another alternative is to take you to the monument at the Middle of the World, you can visit either the Ethnographic or the Intiñan Museums, both located near the monument or if you prefer, we can take you to one of the well-known museums in Quito, our recommendations are: El Alabado, Men Chapel or City Museum.
There is opportunity to stop for a traditional Ecuadorian lunch (lunch not included). Return to your hotel and our guide will be happy to offer you alternatives for the rest of the day and night. There are many places to enjoy the city.

DAY 3: Quito / Mindo Cloud Forest
After breakfast we will go northwest on the Nono-Tandayapa-Bellavista road towards Mindo. This is a scenic road full of nature, on route we can watch many birds, butterflies and orchids. Once at this wonderful town, we will start our trekking up to the hill to enjoy wildlife and nature. Mindo is a bird-watcher’s paradise as it is frequented by many hummingbirds. You will also watch orchids and butterflies.

Overnight at Sachatamia hotel or similar including American breakfast.
DAY 4: Mindo / Quito
If you are interested in watching birds, our guide will wake up us very early in the morning. If you will prefer, you can take one of the activities after breakfast but most of the people is visiting Mindo to watch birds. Some of the species we can find here are the toucan-barbet, the cock-of-the-rock and the golden-headed quetzal. Then, we will have breakfast and after that, we can take one of the activities we can have here: cloud forest walking, visit the butterfly farm, orchids garden, tubbing, biking, cable car, horseback riding, canopy or just have some relax enjoying the nature sounds. In the afternoon we will return to Quito transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 5: Depart Quito
Transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination or to extend your stay in Quito or the Andean region
