LAKE DISTRICT

The lakes of Chile are perhaps one of the prodigies of the nature. This is a volcano region with snow-covered summits reflected in the green-blue magical color of its lakes and rivers next to a vegetation of native forests in the middle of active cities and friendly towns.

PUERTO MONTT

Located 1,016 km to the south of Santiago, with a beautiful view to Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes, the city is located in an ample amphitheatre in the North end. Its port, in the west area, is protected by the Tenglo island. Puerto Montt is the connection point between the continental Chile and the austral end with its multiple islands. Tourist circuits to the islands of the Sine of Reloncaví, the archipelago of Chiloé, Aisén, San Rafael Lagoon and the austral Patagonia depart from its wharf.

PUERTO VARAS

A short distance from Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, also known as the “city of the roses”, is located in the shore of the Llanquihue Alake, the third greatest natural lake of South America. In its waters the perfect cone of the Osorno volcano and the tops of the Puntiaguado, Calbuco and Tronador volcanoes are reflected. In its west shore are the touristic towns of Puerto Octay, Frutillar and Llanquihue. Today Puerto Varas counts with an excellent hotel infrastructure, an important gastronomical activity with creative cuisine based on regional and sea products, cultural events, artisan samples of silver work, wood, leather with carvings, colorful weaves and looms, in addition to being the departure point for fascinating tourist circuits in the surroundings with a dramatic geography which has turned the Region of the Lakes into the capital of the tourism.

VILLARRICA – PUCON

Located at the borders of the Villarrica lake and with the majestic silhouette of Villarrica volcano at the back. The lake invites to the practice of nautical sports and professional teams offer rapids rides by the Trancura river. Visit the Volcanic Caves through a lava tunnel created more than 2 million years ago, or the Del Huife thermal baths, located in the middle of a native forest. Hike through valleys until arriving at beautiful and tempering native forests with their peculiar birds.

PATAGONIA

Last border of the world, imposing snowdrifts in a dismantled coast of deep fiords, channels and rough mountains. Virgin and indomitable land of surprising beauty.
