2. Horseback ride from the Hacienda to the heights of the Pasochoa Volcano and if you are lucky you may see Andean Condors and other types of birds.

The hacienda’s camping area offers all the comfort and safety you need for a great night in the outdoors. Our camping package includes running water, toilets and hut with a fire-pit. Family Hacienda Full Service Cooking Classes
Watering to cook has been a family tradition at the Hacienda and we would like to share that
experience with you. If you would like to learn how to prepare our unique Andean flavors, you
can enjoy our cooking classes suitable for amateurs, families and guests in general. The classes
will allow you to experience the regional culture, the highland family traditions and the use of
antique cooking instruments in an informal and friendly environment.
Reservations required. Minimum 4 people.
We will leave Quito early in the morning (7H30) and head towards Hacienda El Porvenir 3600 m. (11808 ft.). After a brief riding lesson, our ride begins towards the slopes of the dormant Rumiñahui volcano on exclusive paths inside the hacienda. As we travel across majestic Andean panoramas, we will see herds of wild bulls, birds and spectacular landscapes. We will eventually arrive near the rocky peaks of Rumiñahui where one can see 12 more volcanoes on a clear day. Additionally, we will stop by Chusigmachai, or the Owl Refuge, before riding back to the farm house. Riding Time: 5 Hours. Pack lunch is included during the trip. We will return to the Hacienda El Porvenir and from there return to Quito

Two Days / One Night
A perfect itinerary if you like to experience the Cotopaxi area on a short time. It includes a tour of Cotopaxi National Park on a 4×4 vehicle, escorted by a knowledgeable naturalist guide. Additionally, one will experience a magnificent horseback ride on the slopes of Rumiñahui Volcano through exclusive trails on Hacienda El Porvenir.
We leave Quito early in the morning and head for Cotopaxi National Park (CNP). We will stop at Hacienda El Porvenir. After driving across the paramo plains, we will reach the car park below the refuge and start our hike up to the climbing hut (Refugio José Ribas) at 4,800m. (15,744 ft). We then drive on to Limpiopungo Lake. Packed Lunch. After crossing some valleys, we reach the Pucara del Salitre, an ancient Inca fortress on the old route to the Amazon basin. Our day ends at Hacienda El Porvenir, where a warm fireplace and delicious dinner await us.
