CITY TOUR AND END OF THE WORLD MUSEUM
The meeting point is in the Museum of the End of the World. We are there to board the Double decker and start the tour. Visit the city of Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego. Located almost 3500 km away from the city of Buenos Aires, Ushuaia is set in a privileged location between the Beagle Channel and the Martial Mountain chain, located on their backs, with peaks reaching up to 1500 meters.
Off its coast, through the Beagle Channel, the Chilean islands of Navarino and Hoste can be seen. The circuit allows you to appreciate the different points of the city’s attractions, such as the old town, the deep-water port, the steep streets that climb up the Andean slopes, some of the typical houses of the first settlers of the city and the historical building of the former national prison of Ushuaia, whose construction began in 1902 and was completed in 1920. The tour culminates with a visit to the Museum of the End of the World, interesting for its collection of objects that belonged to the indigenous cultures that inhabited the region before the arrival of the white man – the yámanas, selk’nam and alacalufes, as well as elements relating to the history of the island and its first white settlers. After the excursion, return to the meeting point.
